Casale Doria Pamphilj is in the small farm village on the Doria Pamphilj estate at Testa di Lepre di Sotto. The village (or "Borgo") lies in a tranquil valley on the boundry of the city of Rome. It is 20Km from the city centre and the Vatican City and within easy reach of Civitavecchia, Viterbo, Orvieto, Spoleto and Tivoli.

The rolling Etruscan countryside to the East and North of the Casale conceal numerous places of interest and charm. Archaeological treasures, hilltop villages, castles, volcanic lakes and gardens to visit. To the West is the very varied Tirrenhian coastline offering activities for all tastes from nature reserves and bird sanctuaries to late night discoteques on the beach. To the South is the city of Rome which can be reached easily by car (or by public transport for those who wish to avoid the stress of driving in a strange city)

The Casale is 30Km away from the International (Leonardo da Vinci) airport at Fiumicino and 55 Km from the second Rome airport at Ciampino.

How to get to Casale Doria Pamphilj.

The Casale lies 2Km to the north east of the Via Aurelia on the road which runs from the sea at Fregene inland to Cesano and Anguillara on Lake Bracciano.

If travelling from the direction of Rome (*) leave the Via Aurelia at KM 22 ( this is about Km 14 from the GRA [Gran Raccordo Anulare or Rome Ring road]) at the turning for FREGENE and CESANO.

If travelling from Civitavecchia leave the Via Aurelia at the turning for CESANO, ANGUILLARA and TESTA DI LEPRE. Once off the Via Aurelia follow the signs for Cesano and Testa di Lepre and after 2 Km turn left immediately after the signboard of Testa di Lepre. The Casale and Borgo are 50 metres along this road on the right.

From Rome International Airport (Leonardo da Vinci) at Fiumicino.

Leave the airport in the direction of Rome and turn onto the the GRA (Rome Ring road )following the signs for FIRENZE. After about 8 Km on the ring road take exit no 1 onto the S.S. Aurelia and go in the direction of CiVITAVECCHIA then follow the directions from (*) above.

From Rome Ciampino Airport

Leave the airport in the direction of Rome and after Km 1 join the GRA ( Rome Ring road) following the signs for CIVITAVECCHIA. After about Km 30 on the Ring road take exit no 1 onto S.S. Aurelia and go in the direction of CIVITAVECCHIA then follow the directions from (*) above
